Your job as Operations Manager Logistics Operations

As Operations Manager Logistics Operations, you are responsible for our warehouse inbound and outbound, stockage and packaging. At the same time, you support and coach a team of 70 employees in Aalst (warehouse employees, supervisors and team coordinators).

 

You get energy from

  • Managing and coaching your team, but also being hands-on where necessary.
  • Monitoring, evaluating, optimising and realising the Honda objectives and standards with respect to safety, quality, efficiency and the environment.
  • Drawing up and complying with operational planning in terms of manpower, machines and material, enabling us to continue to guarantee our service.
  • Building bridges between internal and external parties, in which you encourage open communication and teamwork.
  • Defining the operational KPIs and taking timely action.
  • Participating actively in the continuous improvement of operational processes and systems.

 

Your strenghts

  • You are a born people manager who can coach, motivate and involve people in a diverse team, as well as provide management, give direction and convince people. Your organisational, analytical and planning skills are very strongly developed.
  • You combine your Bachelor degree, preferably related to logistics or economics, with 5-10 years’ experience in logistics in a managerial role.
  • You can adapt fast to different situations and take a creative approach to various problems & unforeseen circumstances.
  • You have affinity with IT and Warehouse Management Systems; you are adept with using MS Office and quickly learn new systems.
  • You have excellent command of Dutch and English.
