International Regulatory Affairs Engineer

 

Your job and responsibilities:

  • You closely follow, study and analyse developments in European and international technical legislation and standards and develop robust and on-time Honda positions in close concertation with Honda colleagues in Research and Development (R&D), certification and sales in Europe and in Japan.
  • You represent Honda and advocate Honda positions in the context of industry association activities and towards national and European authorities.
  • You report to the Head of the Regulatory Affairs Department.

Your profile:

  • You have a technical bachelor or master degree (e.g. (electro)mechanics, chemistry, IT, …) or an equivalent degree combined with a passion for technology.
  • You are comfortable with working in a legal and policy environment and you possess the ability to combine accuracy and speed in all aspects of your regulatory affairs work.
  • You are a team player with a proactive and entrepreneurial approach.
  • You are proficient in English (fluency in other languages is an extra asset).
  • You thrive in a multi-cultural and multi-language environment.
  • You are prepared to occasionally travel abroad for your job.

About us:

Honda Motor Europe’s Certification and Regulatory Affairs Division located in Aalst is an advisory and coordination office for all European and international ‘Certification & Regulatory Affairs’ activities of Honda. Within this division, the Regulatory Affairs Department:

  • Is responsible for the follow-up of new and updated European and international (UN ECE) technical regulations and standards applicable to all Honda products and services.
  • Delivers related analyses to all Honda divisions in order to ensure technical compliance of Honda products and to support business and technology planning.
  • Contributes to the creation of the most sustainable compliance environment for Honda products, technologies, services and processes through advocacy of Honda positions in industry associations and towards European institutions, national authorities and other stakeholders.
